About the role

A government transport agency is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage, maintain and improve its IT systems, troubleshoot issues and support its technology infrastructure.

What you will do

• Install, configure and monitor server and network hardware and software
• Monitor performance and apply updates and patches
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues
• Implement security measures that meet government standards
• Manage backup and recovery
• Maintain configuration and procedure documentation

What you will bring

• Proven systems administration experience
• Strong Windows and Linux server and networking knowledge
• Clear communication with non-technical staff
• Degree in IT or related field preferred; CompTIA, Microsoft or Cisco certifications a plus
• Understanding of government IT and data security standards
